Are you looking to join the fast-paced world of eCommerce? If yes, we have a superb opportunity for an experienced ‘Senior Marketing Executive’ to join a hugely successful online retailer. Working closely with the eCommerce Manager & Campaigns Marketing Manager, you will be the storyteller of our client’s brand across all social media platforms and email marketing campaigns. You will focus on producing beautiful and engaging content to grow new & existing audiences.

The successful digital marketer will manage the email marketing programme to support revenue targets and grow the email marketing database. Day-to-day you will design and build emails to support promotional activity and commercial goals, as well as report back to the wider business on performance metrics. You will also be responsible for the creation and optimisation of automated campaigns and work closely with the ecommerce team to optimise landing pages. Data analysis, segmentation and planning are key to this role as well as a creative flair, an eye for design and strong copywriting skills.

The Senior Marketing Executive is responsible for 3 key areas – Email Marketing, Social Media and Copywriting:  

Email Marketing

  • Deliver automated and customer lifecycle campaigns via email marketing
  • Design, Build, Send & Report on emails to support day-to-day trading & promotional activity in line with the marketing plan
  • Use analytics to develop weekly, monthly & quarterly reporting of campaign activity including actionable insights
  • Deliver specific email projects such as profiling the EM database and delivering the personalisation strategy across email
  • Maximise data-mining, customer behaviour insight and segmentation to identify and implement offers and personalised content to optimise response, conversion, retention and maximise ROI
  • Develop a test & learn approach and share with the wider business key learnings
  • Own and develop the social media strategy and a plan that grows all of our client’s platforms and social communities
  • Build brand awareness and positive sentiment for the brands
  • Work closely with the Marketing, Ecommerce and Commercial teams to support and drive commercial targets and opportunities
  • Lead the social media coverage across all key events throughout the year

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working in a similar role working on email marketing & social media marketing within a retail or mail order business
  • Data driven and results orientated with a flair for creativity
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Comprehensive experience working with Google Analytics and social media analytics tools
  • Strong knowledge of types and formats of content that work best across each social platform
  • Developed Social Media strategies for both earned and owned channels
  • Highly competent in driving content through digital channels
  • Experience using marketing automation, CRM tools and ESPs such as Dot Digital, as well as experience in using personalisation tools such as Nosto
  • Understand the basic fundamentals in HTML & CSS
  • A interest in gardening desirable but not essential
